Challenges
When it comes to an eCommerce app, the real challenge lies in accommodating diverse users. There are end-users who buy products. There are service providers and vendors who fulfil orders. And then there are admins who take care of the marketplace. Each of the modules had to be built considering the overlaps in functions and operations.
The associated functions had to be triggered with respect to every phase of the order and every stakeholder must be notified about orders and their statuses. The UI had to be elegant for seamless access, too.
Solutions
To build a fine UI, we came up with multiple mockups and did a litmus test with select members. Their criticisms shaped the app’s UI to what it is now. Also, when we built the admin panel, we ensured admins and account managers get access to all details like unfulfilled orders, last transaction detail, total sale for the day and more on a single screen and quickly access other admin modules like selling history, shipping, orders and products seamlessly. The modules work fine and the mobile application is as stable as it gets.
