All retail stores out there – regardless of their market segments – require a powerful point of sale system that can optimize sales, conversions, billing and inventory management. And our own custom developed POS application for mobile called Pointplex arrives checking all the boxes. Designed to offer convenience, precision and on the go solutions, our application is also designed to save time for customer-facing associates on billing, transactions and everyday business management.
Challenges:
Despite being the same functioning software application, the challenge in developing a mobile variant was that the application had to leverage on the potential of the device it runs on. It also had to accommodate to the screen size it is viewed on. This means all the data crunching, processing and visualization had to be smartphone or portal device-friendly. Besides, the visualizations had to be modified and some modules had to be revisited for mobile-specific design as well.
Solutions:
We worked on redesigning the app for mobile instead of just making it responsive. We ensured the modules involved were tweaked for mobiles. From changes in wireframes and navigation to computational capabilities, we revisited them all.
