Lightning Lawyers is a legal consultation and facilitation platform that gives individuals access to high-quality legal consultation, at the click of a button. The platform is designed to help users with common legal issues. Along with providing on-demand legal consultation, the platform has a ready repository of essential legal documents that the users can get access to by being a member of the platform. Founded by a team of certified lawyers, the platform is conceptualized to remove the obstacles related to legal help for businesses and individuals.
Challenges:
The website’s monetization model was planned to work on a membership model where premium members can get access to all the features by depositing a fee. So, a membership management framework has to be designed along with provisions of locked content that was meant to be accessed only by the premium members.
Along with that, the platform had to offer access to a wide range of legal documents and provide online legal advice in real-time. Integrating a framework for easy and real-time interaction like ‘chat’ and ‘online help’ was another challenge the team had to face.
Solutions:
The platform was designed in the form of a corporate website with specific sections for legal help, documents and membership dashboard. As the clientele was global, a translation mechanism was integrated to make it more appealing to users across multiple countries and regions. Further, a live chat feature was also added to the platform for easy interaction with expert lawyers.
