Winbat - A Real-Time All-in-One Fantasy Sports App
Winbat is probably one of the apps we had the most fun developing. The app allows users to play their preferred sports app online – from cricket and basketball to football, tennis and more. An increasingly popular gaming niche in the country, Winbat allows users to assemble their dream team in games of their choice and compete on virtual grounds. The performance of the players depends on players’ real-life performances and statistics. It implements unique gamification techniques and rewarding programs that consistently hook players to the app.
Challenges:
One of the biggest challenges in developing Winbat was to bridge the gap between the real world and the virtual world. Since real world performances impacted the virtual world, the reflections should be in real-time so the fun of playing the game is undeterred. Also, handling traffic was a concern at some given point of time.
Solutions:
We implemented the latest tech infrastructure and algorithms in our codes to make the performance reflections as real-time as possible. We also toned down graphical elements to offer a lag-free experience to users. We consistently tested our features and fixed loopholes in rewarding systems to roll out a fool-proof mobile app.
