Manage retail store modules, roles, product categories, sales, expenses and more with the Point of Sale app designed exclusively for your store.
All retail stores out there – regardless of their market segments – require a powerful point of sale system that can optimize sales, conversions, billing and inventory management. And our own custom developed POS application called Pointplex arrives checking all the boxes. Designed to offer convenience and precision, our application is also designed to save time for customer-facing associates on billing, transactions and everyday business management.
Challenges:
A point of sale system is an exhaustive entity. For it to be simple and seamless, insane amounts of detailing has to be done during ideation and development stages. We needed to have different modules such as user management, role management, product management, sales management, category management, expenses management and more for a retail store to be fully functional. And all these modules have at least one overlapping feature or micro-module that interacts with another module. At all times, we had to ensure our mapping of user requirements were intact and that the app delivered more than what was expected out of it.
Solutions:
Apart from aesthetics, we realized the application needed solid functionality. That’s why we worked consistently on our wireframes and user behavior and split tested several variants. We got firsthand opinions and feedback on our models and kept our development evolving. Once we reached a unanimous conclusion based on data on what worked and what didn’t, we rolled out an MVP. This further stabilized our application and made it more credible. The end result of all the feedback is the standalone POS called Pointplex.
